Our story
Valley End Cricket Club was formed in 1895 by 25 members. After an early search for a ground — including an abandoned plan to use common land — J. A. Tyler made land at Woodlands available to the club.
With support from the Leschallas family and generations of local members, the club established lasting roots in Valley End. Its purpose has always reached beyond a scorecard: bringing people together through cricket, volunteering and community life.
In 2008 Valley End reached the National Village Cup Final at Lord’s — a landmark in the club’s history and a proud moment shared across the whole community.
Today the club supports broad participation across six Saturday sides, a thriving junior section and three home pitches, while continuing to invest in facilities and the next generation of players.
Six senior Saturday sides, a connected junior pathway and cricket that meets players where they are.
